A Ride into WordCamp Bhopal 2016

The Day started when the attendees reached the registration desk, where they were handed their kits meanwhile the online attendance was being taken, everyone was on their best foot and things at registration went really well with the breakfast being a cherry on top of icing.

The Event took a head start with Puneet Sahalot’s (Founder IdeaBox Creations) Session which was on ‘Introduction to WordPress’, he gave a brief history of how WordPress evolved from a blogging platform to a CMS.

The next session was followed by Aditya Kane (Chief Cultural Officer at Yapapaya) on ‘Why choose a career in open source (WordPress)’ where he talked about ‘What is open-source. OSS impact on the world Free and open web. Why do we need to protect it? Why WordPress GPL, Software as philosophy and career prospects.

The tea break was followed by Swapnil Patil (Organizer WordCamp Pune) giving a brief on ‘How to Translate a WordPress Theme/Plugin’, Nirav Mehta’s (Developer of Plugins) session on ‘Why We Indian Developers Fail; And what you can do about it’ intrigued the attendees, Nirav’s storytelling interaction worked tremendously good .

It has been rightly said, “Hunger makes a thief of any man”. So the Lunch started soon after Nirav’s session, concurrently few had interaction with the sponsors on their separate desk. Our gold sponsors for the event were like JetPack, WooCommerce and rtCamp. Whereas Godaddy Pro, Bluehost, Milesweb  were the silver sponsors for the Event. Wpml.com with many others were bronze sponsors.

Soon after everyone was back under the same roof few more sessions were orated, where Amit Singh (Founder and CEO Wpoets) talked about: “Stop coding, Start assembling websites”. This was followed by Alexander Grounder’s (Ink my web) session on ‘The ways of Contributing to WordPress.’

Next speaker of the session was Saurabh Shukla (Chief Strategist at Yapapya and the Chief Mentor at BaapWP.me) and he spoke on Collaboration Oriented Development. The last session was by Rahul Bansal (CEO of rtCamp) on ‘How to build high-quality WordPress agency in Bhopal’. A Panel discussion on “How do WordPress agencies hire” was engaged for creating awareness about how WordPress offers you to see your career in it.

The event ended by a Vote of Thanks to all the Sponsors that helped the WordCamp 2016 come alive, Speakers for being a constant preceptor throughout the journey of WordCamp Bhopal 2016, and also the Organizers, Volunteers, and Attendees for their support in making the event a ‘Grand Success’.

WordPress acquires 26℅ of web providing people free, open source and a very easy way for showcasing there talents, so now it’s time to show some gratitude to WordPress.
