The WordPress Bhopal community, with over 100+meetups, now nine years strong, pulses with energy and collaboration. From vibrant meetups and hands-on workshops to social initiatives, it continually sparks positive impact across the region.

WordCamp Bhopal 2023
WordCamp Bhopal 2023 had a broader mission—to bring the culture of tech to Bhopal and empower the student population. WordPress Bhopal organized pre-event open sessions, focusing on students and enhancing their skills, bridging the knowledge gap and fostering active usage of WordPress.
This two-day event started on 7th October 2023 with initial gathering at Van Vihar National Park set the tone, as the community embarked on an OpenVerse Walk—a nature walk in this green oasis. The Contributor Day event at Zappian was fabulous, the energy contributors put was unparalleled and contagious.
The main Conference Day on 8th October 2023 was as a bustling hub of activity, featuring two parallel running tracks, sponsor booths, and a diverse and engaged attendee base. The day was brimming with opportunities to form connections, network, collect swags, and capture memories in pictures.
The day reached its crescendo at the lively After Party, where attendees let loose, dancing to the tunes spun by the DJ, creating an unforgettable and joyous conclusion to the two-day WordCamp Bhopal 2023.
Do_action 2024
On 15th September 2024, WordPress Bhopal held city’s first-ever do_action charity hackathon. This event united volunteers and NGOs/NPOs to build impactful websites that enhance their visibility and outreach in the community. The mission was clear: support organizations committed to making a difference in society.
The community was overwhelmed by the response! Initially, aimed to partner with five NGOs, but the organizing team received nine applications, showcasing the need for digital support. With around 25 volunteers eager to contribute, the participants successfully launched five live websites by the end of the day!

EmpowerWP Bhopal 2025
EmpowerWP Bhopal 2025 held on 9th March 2025—was a big moment for the WordPress Bhopal community. The team organized a special event for International Women’s Day, focusing on inclusion and diversity. For the first time in 10-year history of WordPress Bhopal chapter, most of the attendees were women. The team reached out not just to students and professionals, but also to homemakers, women who had taken career breaks, and small business owners who hadn’t yet explored the digital world.
The goal was to help these women reconnect with technology by giving them easy-to-understand learning materials, inspiring talks, and a friendly space to explore new opportunities.
The event was full of energy and learning. It included four tech sessions, a Contributor Hour where over 25 people made their first contributions to WordPress, and a panel called Learners to Leaders. Talks were given in both Hindi and English so everyone could follow and keep learning.
All the speakers were women, and many supporters joined in to show that empowerment is something we build together. From fun ice-breakers to a joyful networking dinner, EmpowerWP Bhopal 2025 wasn’t just a meetup—it was a movement! It showed the team’s strong commitment to making tech more inclusive and helping the community grow together.
WP Build Tour 2025
WP Build Tour 2025, a statewide initiative by WP Bhopal, successfully brought hands-on WordPress training to college campuses across Madhya Pradesh.
Designed for students with no prior coding or design experience, the program empowered participants to build fully functional websites in just one day. Through practical, on-site workshops, the tour fostered collaborative campus communities where students explored, created, and mastered WordPress together—leaving a lasting impact on digital learning and peer-driven innovation.
In this sweeping initiative that spanned nearly three months and six leading engineering colleges, the WP Build Tour 2025 empowered over 1,700 students across Madhya Pradesh to create fully functional websites—without writing a single line of code.
The event focused on bridging the gap between technical curiosity and practical execution. Participants learned the fundamentals of how websites function, explored design principles, and experimented with customization tools—all within a single day at each venue.
