Making of Bhojapu

Meet Bhojapu
The story of Bhopal dates back to 11th century when a king named Raja Bhoj ruled the city. His statue which is 32 feet tall is a popular sight on banks of the upper lake. The city was then called Bhojpal as it was a center of architecture, arts, music, poetry, and craft.

So when it came to design a Waapu for WordCamp Bhopal 2017 – Sudesna (@sudesna_b) had the best idea and desi to make this year’s Waapu.

Raja Bhoj + Waapu = Bhojapu

The Waapu for WordCamp Bhopal 2017 is designed after the popular ruler who gave Bhopal its name and status. We hope it delivers great WordPress goodness to all attendees and speakers attending the WordCamp.

The journey of Bhojapu
Lots of studies on Raja Bhoj’s cultural era were conducted to develop a fictional character that can represent him.

As the journey of colors onscreen started with just two shades – black & white so did the amazing journey of Bhojapu. Let’s have a look at the making of Bhojapu.
